23 5月 Reblog My brother’s biggest fear is becoming paralyzed. It’s an anxiety-inducing, crippling fear… He just got surgery on his knee today after he tore his acl, and they gave him an injection of something that paralyzes his leg for up to 16 hours so he wont feel pain. He recently read online that the injection would begin wearing off 20 minutes in, which is completely absurd, but now he’s afraid that there’s a chance his leg might stay paralyzed. I wish i could do something to calm his fear. He’s talking to my dad right now and i told my dad to comfort him instead of complain about how ridiculous he’s being so he’s trying… I dont know, it’s just so sad and so irrational. Brian’s unable to deal with things such as surgery recovery because his mind automatically thinks of the worst possible outcome. It’s so sad.

23 5月 Reblog the ap lit teachers have created the most perfect list of books for the summer project i definitely want to read lolita and a clockwork orange because i’ve been dying to, but i love haruki murakami and want to read hard-boiled wonderland and the end of the world as well (it was kind of a let down when both teachers admitted to not reading that yet). maybe i’ll try to finish sputnik baby really quick and read another of his work to quell that urge because yeah i really really really want to read a clockwork orange and lolita yep that sounds like the perfect summer reading list |
